About Speaker

Nabil Abdo serves as the Regional Influencing and Advocacy Manager at Oxfam in the Middle East and North Africa and leads Oxfam’s advocacy efforts with the International Monetary Fund. Before joining Oxfam, Nabil worked with the International Labour Organisation, where he supported unions across the Middle East, and with national and regional civil society organisations, focusing on gender equality, development, tax, and social protection. As a researcher, Nabil has delved into global austerity policies, particularly within the MENA region, as well as unions and labour movements in the Middle East, North Africa, and Lebanon, with a focus on the informal economy and fiscal and socioeconomic policies.
