Explorer

Role: Discover and align

Explorers engage with the GFS community in a lighter and more flexible way, while staying connected to its conversations, insights, and network. They participate in open gatherings, access shared knowledge, and build relationships across the community at a pace that aligns with their interests and availability.

Builder

Role: Engage and contribute

Builders take an active role in strengthening the GFS community through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and meaningful participation. They engage consistently, build relationships across the network, and contribute to conversations, sessions, and emerging initiatives.

  • Curated peer introductions
  • Opportunities to host or contribute to the GFS Café

Tier 3

Steward

Role: Shape, guide, and represent

Stewards contribute to the long-term growth and direction of the GFS community through leadership, collaboration, and ecosystem-building. They help shape initiatives, strengthen connections across the network, and contribute to the broader evolution of the community beyond individual events.

DFF Commitment Includes
  • Invitation-only strategic co-design forums
  • Advisory participation in shaping GFS priorities
  • Opportunities to propose and pilot funded initiatives
  • Recognition as a Steward through featured spotlights across GFS platforms
  • Introductions to the DFF ecosystem
  • DFF attendance at GFS member events, subject to availability
Individual and Organisational Contribution

The framework recognises different but complementary forms of contribution

Individual Members May Contribute By

  • Attending sessions and activities
  • Sharing insights, ideas, and perspectives
  • Building relationships across the network
  • Contributing to discussions or initiatives

Organisational Members May Contribute By

  • Nominating 2–4 active representatives
  • Maintaining a primary point of contact for coordination
  • Contributing knowledge, sessions, or initiatives
  • Supporting connections and collaboration across the ecosystem
