Overview

This course will introduce participants how to understand the emerging trends, issues and signals in fast changing environments. The concept of horizon scanning is explained and applied. We explain how horizon scanning is implemented in different countries and organizations, using both public and private sector case studies. We demonstrate how to apply horizon scanning in Dubai. We are showing evidence to understand how information on future trends and emerging signals can be systematically collected and analyzed to better increase the resilience and transformational capabilities of organizations.

Target audience:

• This course is intended for government employees from all sectors and all levels.
• This course will help participants grasp the basic tools and methods of horizon scanning, leading to being able to map and analyze information about the future in a systematic way

Prerequisites:

Foundations of Foresight Course or similar knowledge

Courses are complimentary for all government employees.
