COURSE OVERVIEW

The digital revolution continually challenges organisations and managers to adapt to new realities. The changes associated with digital innovations, such as artificial intelligence, blockchain technology, and smart embedded devices, are rapidly disrupting various industries and governments across the globe. These disruptions challenge institutions, organisational structures, and, most importantly, the mindset necessary for a successful workforce. Many organizations are establishing market leadership in today’s competitive environment by mastering digital innovation. Using a hands-on, inquiry-based learning approach, this course is designed to assist business and government leaders in understanding the fundamental nature of digital innovation and to competently identify technological and organisational opportunities and lead the development of successful digital transformation journeys in the current dynamic landscape of the digital revolution.

Director and Professor School for the Future of Innovation in Society , College of Global Futures, at Arizona State University

Dr. Eusebio Scornavacca is the director of the School for the Future of Innovation in Society (SFIS), College of Global Futures (CGF), at Arizona State University (ASU). In addition to his role at SFIS, he is the co-director of ASU’s Science and Technology Center for Sustainability Innovation. He also holds the position of professor of Global Digital Innovation at the Thunderbird School of Global Management. Dr. Scornavacca is a global scholar, fostering extensive research collaborations across six continents. His academic journey has led him to visiting professorships in many countries worldwide. His research interests span a broad spectrum, encompassing areas such as disruptive digital innovation, high-impact innovation, innovation policy, digital entrepreneurship, ICT for development, digital sustainability, and digital climate-tech. Over the past three decades, he has led projects generating insights across various industries and governments. Furthermore, Dr. Scornavacca has considerable experience in developing multinational cross-disciplinary inquiry-based learning initiatives.
